Thirty-one Loudoun County businesses placed in Inc. Magazine’s 2018 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

Topping the list for local companies was FedBiz IT Solutions, which came in at No. 116 on the 5,000-company list. This is third consecutive year FedBiz IT, a tech government contractor, has placed on the roundup.

B3 Group, ARM Consulting, Allied Mission Group and All Points Broadband rounded out the local top five.

The survey considered three-year revenue growth from 2015-2017.

“This list reflects the diversity of Loudoun’s overall employer base,” Loudoun County Economic Development Director Buddy Rizer said in a prepared statement.

Number 1 on the Inc. 5000 this year was Madison, Wisconsin-based SwanLeap, a shipping software company that grew revenue 75,661 percent over the past three years. SwanLeap reported $98.9 million in revenue in 2017.

SwanLeap “provides freight audits and uses blockchain technology to improve inventory management,” according to Inc. CEO Brad Hollister has grown his team from four to 49 employees in recent years, the magazine reported.
