A valid login is still one of the easiest ways in.

Attackers look like employees.

Stolen or phished credentials get past the controls built to watch the network edge. The attacker signs in the same way your staff do.

Two good providers can still leave a gap.

Your cloud provider can lock down the cloud and still have no view of the laptop that logs in with a real password. Neither is doing a bad job. Nobody owns the gap between them.

Ticket tooling doesn't cover this.

Most providers run one of the same two platforms, built to close tickets fast. Identity work is slow and specific: policy by policy, group by group. It doesn’t fit that model.
